MANILA, Philippines - It was a people’s wedding for Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II and broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez as thousands shared the simple but elegant affair where the couple vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives.
Loud cheers were heard outside the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City, first when the couple arrived and later, when they were pronounced husband and wife.

Body Talk with Gretchen Espina |
|
FUNFARE By Ricardo F. Lo October 09, 2009 12:00 AM
Unlike her namesake, Gretchen Espina doesn’t get enmeshed in controversy. Since she won the Pinoy Idol search in August last year, she has maintained a low profile even if her victory opened a lot of doors for her.
“I trained hard for Pinoy Idol,” said Gretchen who comes from a musically-inclined family with roots in Biliran, Leyte. Singer Eileen Espina is her aunt; Eileen’s father, former Leyte Rep. Gerry Espina, is her grandfather.

FUNFARE By Ricardo F. Lo October 27, 2009 12:00 AM
They’re the stuff fantasies are made of.
With that line, S magazine proceeded to draw what it considers The 20 Sexiest Showbiz Bachelors based on, “beyond physical assets,” criteria that include “positive attitude, good disposition, strong work ethic and natural charm.”
S editor-in-chief Wilson Lee Flores (who writes a column for this paper’s Life section) requested Funfare to “play up” the main come-on of the mag’s October issue. Request granted.

Tayong Dalawa's curtain call |
|
By Bot Glorioso September 18, 2009 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - Even if televiewers look forward to watching ABS-CBN’s Tayong Dalawa night after night and episode to episode, the nine-month-old soap is coming to an end. Yet, there seems to be a lot of questions popping up as to how the story will wrap up.
When shall brothers Ramon (Coco Martin), JR (Gerald Anderson) and Dave (Jake Cuenca) come face-to-face to finally reconcile? Will Ramon soon feel the love of his mom Marlene (Cherry Pie Picache)? Will Audrey (Kim Chiu) find real happiness and peace with husband JR? Will Dave and Ingrid (Agot Isidro) complicate the situation? What will happen to Audrey’s aunt Angela (Jodi Santamaria) who was kidnapped by Nico’s (Ping Medina) group?
