FILOS  GET  in full COLOURFUL costume FOR THE SYDNEY MARDIGRAS 2011

The Filipino Lesbian and Gay Community ( FLAGCOM)  is organizing the first-ever  Variety Show as contribution  of the Filipino Community to the Sydney Mardigras  event  on the 26th of February 2010 at Petersham RSL.

This show will showcase the many talents  and creativity  of  the group and the supporters of FLAGCOM  to comeup with  a show acceptable and enjoyable to other cultures featuring fabulous costumes and amazing production numbers.

A highlight  of this event  is the “Search for the Mardigras Queen of the Night”  which is a gay beauty pageant open to all  nationalities.  The 3 winners of this pageant will be featured in the Filipino float during the Mardigras Parade on March 5 , 2011,  to represent the three great ladies of Filipino Politics – Imelda, Cory and Gloria.

The  variety show will showoff  the winning dance moves  of Albert Dimarucut and Brian Lorenz ,  silver medallist of  the recently concluded  Gay Games, Dance sport  held in Colon, Germany representing  Australia.

Performances from award winning Filipino singers and entertainers will also be the attraction of the said event.

This event is in collaboration with the New Sydney Mardigras, for the benefits of ACON-Aids Council of NSW and Gawad Kalinga Australia.
